3x UniFi G5 Turret Ultra Camera Installation – Reliable 2K Surveillance
We recently completed an installation of three Ubiquiti UniFi G5 Turret Ultra cameras which are ultra-compact, tamper-resistant, and weatherproof 2K HD PoE camera with long-range night vision. These cameras support the AI detections and offer excellent value for money
The Installation
For this project, we installed:
- One camera covering the front entrance
- One at the rear of the property
- One along the side path
The cameras were cabled back to a built in wardrobe in one of the upstairs bedrooms. We installed a UniFi Flex Utility cabinet on the wall to house the UniFi Flex switch which is powering the cameras. We usually install the Flex Utility cabinets outside, like on poll mounts etc but it was chosen for this internal location to protect the switch as this is a well used wardrobe.
Additional ventilation holes were added to the top and bottom of the Flex Utility cabinet to aid with ventilation as this cabinet is usually installed in an outside location with better air flow.
